but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.'

Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
14
When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,
15
Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a
certain
man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15
Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

"Lord," he said, "have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire and often into the water.

Then the disciples realized he was talking about John the Baptist.

At the foot of the mountain, a large crowd was waiting for them. A man came and knelt before Jesus and said,

Lord, have mercy on my son. He has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.
