Chapter 3

30 because they were saying, 'He has an unclean spirit.'

31 Then His mother and His brothers *came, and while standing outside they sent word to Him, calling for Him. 32 And a crowd was sitting around Him, and they *said to Him, 'Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You.' 33 Answering them, He *said, 'Who are My mother and My brothers?' 34 And looking around at those who were sitting around Him, He *said, 'Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother.'

31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. 32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. 33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

33 He replied to them, "Who are my mother and my brothers? " 34 Looking at those sitting in a circle around him, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."

30 He told them this because they were saying, 'He's possessed by an evil spirit.'

31 Then Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. 32 There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, 'Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.'

33 Jesus replied, 'Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?' 34 Then he looked at those around him and said, 'Look, these are my mother and brothers. 35 Anyone who does God's will is my brother and sister and mother.'

31 Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32 A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, 'Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.'

33 Who are my mother and my brothers?' he asked.

34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, 'Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother.'
