Chapter 1
14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Godis at hand; repent andbelieve in the gospel.'

As He was going along the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen.
17
And Jesus said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will have you become fishers of people.'
18
Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
19
And going on a little farther, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
20
Immediately He called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and went away to follow Him.

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. 19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. 20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him. 21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. 22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.Christian Standard Bible

14 After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God: 15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news! "

As he passed alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, casting a net into the sea--for they were fishermen.

"Follow me," Jesus told them, "and I will make you fish for people."

Immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat putting their nets in order.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

14 Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God's Good News. 15 'The time promised by God has come at last!' he announced. 'The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!'

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

Jesus called out to them, 'Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!'

And they left their nets at once and followed him.
