And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, 'Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.'

But Jesus let out a loud cry, and died.

And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put

on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, fixed it on a stick, offered him a drink, and said, "Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down."

Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed his last.

One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to him on a reed stick so he could drink. 'Wait!' he said. 'Let’s see whether Elijah comes to take him down!'

Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last.
