Whoever is on the housetop must not go down, nor go in to get anything out of his house.
16
And whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
17
But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter
therein
, to take any thing out of his house:

And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

A man on the housetop must not come down or go in to get anything out of his house,

and a man in the field must not go back to get his coat.

Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!

A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat.

How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days.
