Chapter 12
6He had one more man to send, a beloved son; he sent him to them last of all, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7But those vine-growers said to one another, ‘This is the heir; come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!’ 8And they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. 9What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and put the vine-growers to death, and give the vineyard to others.King James Version
Chapter 12
6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. 7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. 8And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. 9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. 10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: 11This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.Christian Standard Bible
