And they brought
one.
And He *said to them, 'Whose image and inscription is this?' And they said to Him, 'Caesar’s.'

And Jesus said to them, 'Pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.' And they were utterly amazed at Him.

Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection) *came to Jesus, and
began
questioning Him, saying,

Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

They brought a coin. "Whose image and inscription is this? " he asked them."Caesar's," they replied.

Jesus told them, "Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were utterly amazed at him.

Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him and questioned him:

When they handed it to him, he asked, 'Whose picture and title are stamped on it?' 'Caesar’s,' they replied.

Well, then,' Jesus said, 'give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.' His reply completely amazed them.

Then Jesus was approached by some Sadducees — religious leaders who say there is no resurrection from the dead. They posed this question:
