Mark 1:30-45
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 1
30Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and they immediately *spoke to Jesus about her. 31And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she served them.
32Now when evening came, after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demon-possessed.
33And the whole city had gathered at the door.
34And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
35And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and prayed there for a time.
36Simon and his companions eagerly searched for Him;
37and they found Him and *said to Him, 'Everyone is looking for You.'
38He *said to them, 'Let’s go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may also preach there; for this is why I came.'
39And He went into their synagogues preaching throughout Galilee, and casting out the demons.
40And a man with leprosy *came to Jesus, imploring Him and kneeling down, and saying to Him, 'If You are willing, You can make me clean.'
41Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, and *said to him, 'I am willing; be cleansed.'
42And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43And He sternly warned him and immediately sent him away,
44and He *said to him, 'See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.'
45But he went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the news around, to such an extent that Jesus could no longer publicly enter a city, but stayed out in unpopulated areas; and they were coming to Him from everywhere.

Chapter 1
30But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. 31And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. 32And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. 33And all the city was gathered together at the door. 34And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
35And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
36And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
37And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
38And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
41And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
42And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
43And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
44And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
45But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

32When evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to him all those who were sick and demon-possessed.
33The whole town was assembled at the door,
34and he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
35Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, went out, and made his way to a deserted place; and there he was praying.
36Simon and his companions searched for him,
37and when they found him they said, "Everyone is looking for you."
39He went into all of Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
40Then a man with leprosy came to him and, on his knees, begged him: "If you are willing, you can make me clean."
41Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched him. "I am willing," he told him. "Be made clean."
42Immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.
43Then he sternly warned him and sent him away at once,
44telling him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go and show yourself to the priest, and offer what Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them."
45Yet he went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, with the result that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. But he was out in deserted places, and they came to him from everywhere.

Chapter 1
30Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away. 31So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.
32That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.
33The whole town gathered at the door to watch.
34So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.
35Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.
36Later Simon and the others went out to find him.
37When they found him, they said, 'Everyone is looking for you.'
38But Jesus replied, 'We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.'
39So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.
41Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. 'I am willing,' he said. 'Be healed!'
42Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.
43Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:
44Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.'

45But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.

32That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.
33The whole town gathered at the door,
34and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

38Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come."
39So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
41Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"
42Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
43Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:
44"See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them."
45Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
