Chapter 1

12And immediately the Spirit *brought Him out into the wilderness. 13And He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild animals, and the angels were serving Him.
14Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.'
16As He was going along the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen.

14Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News. 15The time promised by God has come at last!' he announced. 'The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!'
16One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.
