Leviticus 25:46-55

47‘Now if the means of a stranger or of a foreign resident with you becomes sufficient, and a countryman of yours becomes poor in relation to him and sells himself to a stranger who is residing with you, or to the descendants of a stranger’s family,
48then he shall have redemption right after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him,
49or his uncle, or his uncle’s son may redeem him, or one of his blood relatives from his family may redeem him; or if he prospers, he may redeem himself.
50He then, with his purchaser, shall calculate from the year when he sold himself to him up to the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall correspond to the number of years calculated. It is like the days of a hired worker that he will be with him.
51If there are still many years remaining, he shall refund part of his purchase price in proportion to them for his own redemption;
52but if few years remain until the year of jubilee, he shall so calculate with him. In proportion to his years he is to refund the amount for his redemption.
53He shall be with him like a worker hired year by year; he shall not rule over him with severity in your sight.
54Even if he is not redeemed by these means, he shall still leave in the year of jubilee, he and his sons with him.
55For the sons of Israel are My servants; they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

46And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour. 47And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family: 48After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him: 49Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself. 50And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him. 51If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for. 52And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption. 53And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight. 54And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him. 55For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.Christian Standard Bible
47"If an alien or temporary resident living among you prospers, but your brother living near him becomes destitute and sells himself to the alien living among you, or to a member of the resident alien's clan,
48he has the right of redemption after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him.
49His uncle or cousin may redeem him, or any of his close relatives from his clan may redeem him. If he prospers, he may redeem himself.
50The one who purchased him is to calculate the time from the year he sold himself to him until the Year of Jubilee. The price of his sale will be determined by the number of years. It will be set for him like the daily wages of a hired worker.
51If many years are still left, he must pay his redemption price in proportion to them based on his purchase price.
52If only a few years remain until the Year of Jubilee, he will calculate and pay the price of his redemption in proportion to his remaining years.
53He will stay with him like a man hired year by year. A resident alien is not to rule over him harshly in your sight.
54If he is not redeemed in any of these ways, he and his children are to be released at the Year of Jubilee.
55For the Israelites are my servants. They are my servants that I brought out of the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.
New Living Translation
47Suppose a foreigner or temporary resident becomes rich while living among you. If any of your fellow Israelites fall into poverty and are forced to sell themselves to such a foreigner or to a member of his family,
48they still retain the right to be bought back, even after they have been purchased. They may be bought back by a brother,
49an uncle, or a cousin. In fact, anyone from the extended family may buy them back. They may also redeem themselves if they have prospered.
50They will negotiate the price of their freedom with the person who bought them. The price will be based on the number of years from the time they were sold until the next Year of Jubilee — whatever it would cost to hire a worker for that period of time.
51If many years still remain until the jubilee, they will repay the proper proportion of what they received when they sold themselves.
52If only a few years remain until the Year of Jubilee, they will repay a small amount for their redemption.
53The foreigner must treat them as workers hired on a yearly basis. You must not allow a foreigner to treat any of your fellow Israelites harshly.
54If any Israelites have not been bought back by the time the Year of Jubilee arrives, they and their children must be set free at that time.
55For the people of Israel belong to me. They are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
