Leviticus 25:22-24
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
22
When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the produce, eating
the old
until the ninth year when its produce comes in.
23
‘The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, because the land is Mine; for you are
only
strangers and residents with Me.
24
So for every piece of your property, you are to provide for the redemption of the land.
King James Version
Chapter 25
22
And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat
yet
of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat
of
the old
store
.
23
The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land
is
mine; for ye
are
strangers and sojourners with me.
24
And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 25

23
"The land is not to be permanently sold because it is mine, and you are only aliens and temporary residents on my land.
24
You are to allow the redemption of any land you occupy.
New Living Translation
Chapter 25

When you plant your fields in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year.

The land must never be sold on a permanent basis, for the land belongs to me. You are only foreigners and tenant farmers working for me.
24
With every purchase of land you must grant the seller the right to buy it back.
English Standard Version

And in all the country you possess, you shall allow a redemption of the land.
