Then they put him in custody,
waiting for Moses
to give them a clear decision in accordance with the command of the
Lord
.

Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
14
Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have all the congregation stone him.

And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard
him
lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

They put him in custody until the Lord's decision could be made clear to them.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses:

"Bring the one who has cursed to the outside of the camp and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have the whole community stone him.

They kept the man in custody until the
Lord
’s will in the matter should become clear to them.

Lord
said to Moses,

Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard the curse to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death.
