But when the sun sets, he will be clean, and afterward he may eat of the holy
gifts,
for it is his food.

He shall not eat
an animal
which dies or is torn
by animals,
becoming unclean by it; I am the
Lord

with beasts

When the sun has set, he will become clean, and then he may eat from the holy offerings, for that is his food.

He must not eat an animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts, making himself unclean by it; I am the Lord.

When the sun goes down, he will be ceremonially clean again and may eat from the sacred offerings, for this is his food.

He may not eat an animal that has died a natural death or has been torn apart by wild animals, for this would defile him. I am the
