Leviticus 22:23-27
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
23
Now
as for
an ox or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted
member,
you may present it as a voluntary offering, but for a vow it will not be accepted.
24
Also anything
with its testicles
squashed, crushed, torn off, or cut off, you shall not offer to the
Lord
, nor sacrifice in your land,
25
nor shall you offer any of these
animals taken
from the hand of a foreigner as the food of your God; for their deformity is in them, they have an impairment. They will not be accepted for you.’?'
26
Then the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
27
When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day on it will be considered acceptable as a sacrifice of an offering by fire to the
Lord
.
King James Version
Chapter 22
23
Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
24
Ye shall not offer unto the
Lord
that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.
25
Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
26
And the
Lord
spake unto Moses, saying,
27
When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the
Lord
.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 22
23
You may sacrifice as a freewill offering any animal from the herd or flock that has an elongated or stunted limb, but it is not acceptable as a vow offering.
24
You are not to present to the
Lord
anything that has bruised, crushed, torn, or severed testicles; you must not sacrifice them in your land.
25
Neither you nor a foreigner are to present food to your God from any of these animals. They will not be accepted for you because they are deformed and have a defect."
26
The
Lord
spoke to Moses:
27
"When an ox, sheep, or goat is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days; from the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as an offering, a fire offering to the
Lord
.
New Living Translation
Chapter 22
23
If a bull or lamb has a leg that is too long or too short, it may be offered as a voluntary offering, but it may not be offered to fulfill a vow.
24
If an animal has damaged testicles or is castrated, you may not offer it to the
Lord
. You must never do this in your own land,
25
and you must not accept such an animal from foreigners and then offer it as a sacrifice to your God. Such animals will not be accepted on your behalf, for they are mutilated or defective.'
26
And the
Lord
said to Moses,
27
When a calf or lamb or goat is born, it must be left with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as a special gift to the
Lord
.
English Standard Version
Chapter 22
23
You may present a bull or a lamb that has a part too long or too short for a freewill offering, but for a vow offering it cannot be accepted.
24
Any animal that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut you shall not offer to the
Lord
; you shall not do it within your land,
25
neither shall you offer as the bread of your God any such animals gotten from a foreigner. Since there is a blemish in them, because of their mutilation, they will not be accepted for you."
26
And the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
27
"When an ox or sheep or goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day on it shall be acceptable as a food offering to the
Lord
.
New International Version

24
You must not offer to the

an animal whose testicles are bruised, crushed, torn or cut. You must not do this in your own land,
25
and you must not accept such animals from the hand of a foreigner and offer them as the food of your God. They will not be accepted on your behalf, because they are deformed and have defects.’ "
26
The
Lord
said to Moses,
27
"When a calf, a lamb or a goat is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as a food offering presented to the

what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; nor shall you make any offering of them in your land.
25

26
And the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying:
27
“When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to the
Lord
