Chapter 18

4You are to perform My judgments and keep My statutes, to live in accord with them; I am the Lord your God. 5So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which, if a person follows them, then he will live by them; I am the Lord.
6‘None of you shall approach any blood relative of his to uncover nakedness; I am the Lord. 7You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, that is, the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you are not to uncover her nakedness.

4Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God. 5Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord. 6None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord. 7The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

4You are to practice my ordinances and you are to keep my statutes by following them; I am the Lord your God. 5Keep my statutes and ordinances; a person will live if he does them. I am the Lord.
6"You are not to come near any close relative for sexual intercourse; I am the Lord. 7You are not to violate the intimacy that belongs to your father and mother. She is your mother; you must not have sexual intercourse with her.
