Then the one who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body with water; and afterward he shall come into the camp.

shall be a permanent statute for you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble yourselves and not do any work, whether the native, or the stranger who resides among you;

And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

shall be a statute for ever unto you:
that
in the seventh month, on the tenth
day
of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all,

one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself in water before returning to the camp.

On the tenth day of the appointed month in early autumn, you must deny yourselves. Neither native-born Israelites nor foreigners living among you may do any kind of work. This is a permanent law for you.
