God has handed over to you the leaders of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb; and what was I able to do in comparison with you?' Then their anger toward him subsided when he said that.

Then Gideon and the three hundred men who were with him came to the Jordan

crossed over, exhausted yet
still
pursuing.

God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.

And Gideon came to Jordan,
and
passed over, he, and the three hundred men that
were
with him, faint, yet pursuing

Gideon and the three hundred men came to the Jordan and crossed it. They were exhausted but still in pursuit.

God gave you victory over Oreb and Zeeb, the commanders of the Midianite army. What have I accomplished compared to that?' When the men of Ephraim heard Gideon’s answer, their anger subsided.

Gideon then crossed the Jordan River with his 300 men, and though exhausted, they continued to chase the enemy.
