Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from you; but they will become
like thorns
in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’?'

Now when the angel of the
Lord
spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people raised their voices and wept.

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

Therefore, I now say: I will not drive out these people before you. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a trap for you."
