Chapter 17

9Micah said to him, 'Where do you come from?' And he said to him, 'I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to stay wherever I may find a place.' 10Micah then said to him, 'Stay with me and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, a supply of clothing, and your sustenance.' So the Levite went in. 11The Levite agreed to live with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons. 12So Micah consecrated the Levite, and the young man became his priest and lived in the house of Micah.

And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place. 10And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in. 11And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons. 12And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.

So the Levite went in 11and agreed to stay with the man, and the young man became like one of his sons. 12Micah consecrated the Levite, and the young man became his priest and lived in Micah’s house.

9Where are you from?' Micah asked him. He replied, 'I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah, and I am looking for a place to live.'
10Stay here with me,' Micah said, 'and you can be a father and priest to me. I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, plus a change of clothes and your food.' 11The Levite agreed to this, and the young man became like one of Micah’s sons.
12So Micah installed the Levite as his personal priest, and he lived in Micah’s house.
