Chapter 9
7But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, 'Perhaps you are living within our land; how then are we to make a covenant with you?' 8So they said to Joshua, 'We are your servants.' Then Joshua said to them, 'Who are you and where do you come from?' 9They said to him, 'Your servants have come from a very distant country because of the fame of the Lord your God; for we have heard the report about Him and all that He did in Egypt, 10and all that He did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan who was in Ashtaroth.King James Version

And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye? 9And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt, 10And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.Christian Standard Bible
9They replied to him, "Your servants have come from a faraway land because of the reputation of the Lord your God. For we have heard of his fame, and all that he did in Egypt,
10and all that he did to the two Amorite kings beyond the Jordan--King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan, who was in Ashtaroth.

9They answered, 'Your servants have come from a very distant country. We have heard of the might of the Lord your God and of all he did in Egypt.
10We have also heard what he did to the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan River — King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan (who lived in Ashtaroth).
