Chapter 21

31Helkath with its pasture lands, and Rehob with its pasture lands; four cities. 32And from the tribe of Naphtali, they gave Kedesh in Galilee, the city of refuge for the one who commits manslaughter, with its pasture lands, Hammoth-dor with its pasture lands, and Kartan with its pasture lands; three cities. 33All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their pasture lands.
34And to the families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, they gave from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands, 35Dimnah with its pasture lands, and Nahalal with its pasture lands; four cities. 36From the tribe of Reuben they gave Bezer with its pasture lands, Jahaz with its pasture lands, 37Kedemoth with its pasture lands, and Mephaath with its pasture lands; four cities. 38And from the tribe of Gad, they gave Ramoth in Gilead, the city of refuge for the one who commits manslaughter, with its pasture lands, Mahanaim with its pasture lands, 39Heshbon with its pasture lands, and Jazer with its pasture lands; four cities in all. 40All these were the cities of the sons of Merari according to their families, the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
41All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their pasture lands. 42These cities individually had their surrounding pasture lands; this is how it was with all these cities.
43So the Lord gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and lived in it.

32From the tribe of Naphtali they gave:Kedesh in Galilee, the city of refuge for the one who commits manslaughter, with its pasturelands, Hammoth-dor with its pasturelands, and Kartan with its pasturelands--three cities.
33All thirteen cities with their pasturelands were for the Gershonites by their clans.
34From the tribe of Zebulun, they gave to the clans of the descendants of Merari, who were the remaining Levites:Jokneam with its pasturelands, Kartah with its pasturelands, 35Dimnah with its pasturelands, and Nahalal with its pasturelands--four cities.
36From the tribe of Reuben they gave:Bezer with its pasturelands, Jahzah with its pasturelands, 37Kedemoth with its pasturelands, and Mephaath with its pasturelands--four cities.
38From the tribe of Gad they gave:Ramoth in Gilead, the city of refuge for the one who commits manslaughter, with its pasturelands, Mahanaim with its pasturelands, 39Heshbon with its pasturelands, and Jazer with its pasturelands--four cities in all. 40All twelve cities were allotted to the clans of Merari's descendants, the remaining Levite clans.
41Within the Israelite possession there were forty-eight cities in all with their pasturelands for the Levites. 42Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.
43So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there.

31Helkath, and Rehob — four towns.
32From the tribe of Naphtali they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Kedesh in Galilee (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Hammoth-dor, and Kartan — three towns. 33So in all, thirteen towns with their pasturelands were allotted to the clan of Gershon.
34The rest of the Levites — the Merari clan — were given the following towns with their pasturelands from the tribe of Zebulun: Jokneam, Kartah, 35Dimnah, and Nahalal — four towns.
36From the tribe of Reuben they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Bezer, Jahaz, 37Kedemoth, and Mephaath — four towns.
38From the tribe of Gad they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Ramoth in Gilead (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Mahanaim, 39Heshbon, and Jazer — four towns. 40So in all, twelve towns were allotted to the clan of Merari.
