Chapter 21
1Then the heads of fathers’ households of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of fathers’ households of the tribes of the sons of Israel. 2And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, 'The Lord commanded through Moses to give us cities to live in, with their pasture lands for our cattle.' 3So the sons of Israel gave the Levites from their inheritance these cities with their pasture lands, in accordance with the command of the Lord.King James Version

1Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel; 2And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle. 3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 21
1The Levite family heads approached the priest Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun, and the family heads of the Israelite tribes. 2At Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, they told them, "The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to live in, with their pasturelands for our livestock." 3So the Israelites, by the Lord's command, gave the Levites these cities with their pasturelands from their inheritance.New Living Translation

1Then the leaders of the tribe of Levi came to consult with Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the other tribes of Israel. 2They came to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan and said, 'The Lord commanded Moses to give us towns to live in and pasturelands for our livestock.' 3So by the command of the Lord the people of Israel gave the Levites the following towns and pasturelands out of their own grants of land.English Standard Version
