Chapter 10

24 When they brought these kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the leaders of the men of war who had gone with him, 'Come forward, put your feet on the necks of these kings.' So they came forward and put their feet on their necks. 25 Joshua then said to them, 'Do not fear or be dismayed! Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies with whom you fight.' 26 So afterward Joshua struck them and put them to death, and he hanged them on five trees; and they were hung on the trees until evening.

24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. 26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

24 When they had brought the kings to him, Joshua summoned all the men of Israel and said to the military commanders who had accompanied him, "Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings." So the commanders came forward and put their feet on their necks. 25 Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight."
26 After this, Joshua struck them down and executed them. He hung their bodies on five trees and they were there until evening.

24 When they brought them out, Joshua told the commanders of his army, 'Come and put your feet on the kings' necks.' And they did as they were told.
25 'Don't ever be afraid or discouraged,' Joshua told his men. 'Be strong and courageous, for the LORD is going to do this to all of your enemies.' 26 Then Joshua killed each of the five kings and impaled them on five sharpened poles, where they hung until evening.
