New American Standard Bible
2and he said, 'I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I called for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice.
3For You threw me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the current flowed around me. All Your breakers and waves passed over me.
4So I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’
5Water encompassed me to the point of death. The deep flowed around me, Seaweed was wrapped around my head.

Chapter 2
1Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, 2And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. 3For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. 4Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. 5The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.Christian Standard Bible
2I called to the Lord in my distress, and he answered me. I cried out for help from deep inside Sheol; you heard my voice.
3When you threw me into the depths, into the heart of the seas, the current overcame me. All your breakers and your billows swept over me.
4And I said, "I have been banished from your sight, yet I will look once more toward your holy temple."
5The water engulfed me up to the neck; the watery depths overcame me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.

4Then I said, ‘O Lord, you have driven me from your presence. Yet I will look once more toward your holy Temple.’
