But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the
Lord
. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship that was going to Tarshish, paid the fare, and boarded it to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the
Lord
.

However, the
Lord
hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea, so that the ship was about to break up.

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the Lord's presence. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the Lord's presence.

But the Lord threw a great wind onto the sea, and such a great storm arose on the sea that the ship threatened to break apart.

But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the
Lord
. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the
Lord
by sailing to Tarshish.

hurled a powerful wind over the sea, causing a violent storm that threatened to break the ship apart.
