Jeremiah 39:14-17

15Now the word of the Lord had come to Jeremiah while he was confined in the courtyard of the guardhouse, saying,
16Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: 'Behold, I am going to bring My words on this city for disaster and not for prosperity; and they will take place before you on that day.
17But I will save you on that day,' declares the Lord, 'and you will not be handed over to the men of whom you are afraid.

14Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. 15Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying, 16Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee. 17But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.Christian Standard Bible

16"Go tell Ebed-melech the Cushite, 'This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I am about to fulfill my words for disaster and not for good against this city. They will take place before your eyes on that day.
17But I will rescue you on that day--this is the Lord's declaration--and you will not be handed over to the men you dread.

16Say to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: I will do to this city everything I have threatened. I will send disaster, not prosperity. You will see its destruction,
17but I will rescue you from those you fear so much.
