Chapter 34

5You will die in peace; and as spices were burned for your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they will burn spices for you; and they will mourn for you, crying, 'Oh, my lord!'?’ For I have spoken the word,' declares the Lord.
6Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem

5But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the Lord.
6Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,

Chapter 34

5you will die peacefully. There will be a burning ceremony for you just like the burning ceremonies for your ancestors, the kings of old who came before you. "Oh, master!" will be the lament for you, for I have spoken this word. This is the Lord’s declaration.’"
6So the prophet Jeremiah related all these words to King Zedekiah of Judah in Jerusalem

5but will die peacefully. People will burn incense in your memory, just as they did for your ancestors, the kings who preceded you. They will mourn for you, crying, 'Alas, our master is dead!' This I have decreed, says the Lord.’'
