Jeremiah 31:34-35
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 31
34
They will not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the
Lord
,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,' declares the
Lord
, 'for I will forgive their wrongdoing, and their sin I will no longer remember.'
35
This is what the
Lord
says,
He
who gives the sun for light by day
And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—
The
Lord
of armies is His name:
King James Version
Chapter 31
34
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35
Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day,
and
the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts
is
his name:
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 31
34
No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them"--this is the Lord's declaration. "For I will forgive their iniquity and never again remember their sin.
35
"This is what the Lord says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar -- the Lord of Armies is his name:
New Living Translation
Chapter 31
34
And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the
Lord
.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,' says the
Lord
. 'And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.'
35
It is the
Lord
who provides the sun to light the day
and the moon and stars to light the night,
and who stirs the sea into roaring waves.
His name is the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies,
and this is what he says:
English Standard Version
Chapter 31
34
And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
35
Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD of hosts is his name:
New International Version
Chapter 31
34
No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,' declares the LORD. 'For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.'
35
This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar-- the LORD Almighty is his name:
New King James Version
Chapter 31
34
No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the
Lord
,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the
Lord
. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
35
Thus says the
Lord
,
Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea,
And its waves roar
(The
Lord
of hosts
is
His name):
