Chapter 31

1At that time,' declares the Lord, 'I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.'
2This is what the Lord says: 'The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when it went to find its rest.' 3The Lord appeared to him long ago, saying, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you out with kindness.

Chapter 31

1At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. 2Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
3The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

1"At that time"—this is the Lord’s declaration—"I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people."
2This is what the Lord says: The people who survived the sword found favor in the wilderness. When Israel went to find rest, 3the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.
