Jeremiah 30:6-10
New American Standard Bible
King James Version
Chapter 30
6Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? 7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. 8For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 30
6Ask and see whether a male can give birth. Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor and every face turned pale? 7How awful that day will be! There will be no other like it! It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it.New Living Translation
Chapter 30
6Now let me ask you a question: Do men give birth to babies? Then why do they stand there, ashen-faced, hands pressed against their sides like a woman in labor? 7In all history there has never been such a time of terror. It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel. Yet in the end they will be saved! 8For in that day,' says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, 'I will break the yoke from their necks and snap their chains. Foreigners will no longer be their masters. 9For my people will serve the Lord their God and their king descended from David — the king I will raise up for them.English Standard Version
Chapter 30
6Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor? Why has every face turned pale? 7Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it. 8“And it shall come to pass in that day, declares the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and I will burst your bonds, and foreigners shall no more make a servant of him. 9But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.New International Version
7How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it.
8'In that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; no longer will foreigners enslave them.
9Instead, they will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
10'So do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,' declares the LORD. 'I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.
