Jeremiah 29:31-32
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 29

Send
word
to all the exiles, saying, ‘This is what the
Lord
says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: 'Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has made you trust in a lie,'
32
therefore this is what the
Lord
says: 'Behold, I am going to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants; he will not have anyone living among this people, and he will not see the good that I am going to do for My people,' declares the
Lord
, 'because he has spoken falsely against the
Lord
.'?’?'
King James Version
Chapter 29
31
Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the
Lord
concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:
32
Therefore thus saith the
Lord
; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the
Lord
; because he hath taught rebellion against the
Lord
.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 29

"Send a message to all the exiles, saying, ‘This is what the
Lord

32
this is what the
Lord
says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to my people—this is the
Lord
’s declaration—for he has preached rebellion against the
Lord
.’"
New Living Translation

32
I will punish him and his family. None of his descendants will see the good things I will do for my people, for he has incited you to rebel against me. I, the
Lord
, have spoken!’'
