Jeremiah 28:4-8

5Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the sight of the priests and in the sight of all the people who were standing at the house of the Lord,
6and Jeremiah the prophet said, 'Amen! May the Lord do so; may the Lord fulfill your words which you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the Lord’S house and all the exiles, from Babylon to this place.
7Yet hear now this word which I am going to speak so that you and all the people can hear it!
8The prophets who were before me and before you from ancient times also prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms regarding war, disaster, and plague.

4And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD, 6Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place. 7Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people; 8The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.Christian Standard Bible
5The prophet Jeremiah replied to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and all the people who were standing in the temple of the Lord.
6The prophet Jeremiah said, "Amen! May the Lord do that. May the Lord make the words you have prophesied come true and may he restore the articles of the Lord's temple and all the exiles from Babylon to this place!
7Only listen to this message I am speaking in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people.
8The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times prophesied war, disaster, and plague against many lands and great kingdoms.

5Jeremiah responded to Hananiah as they stood in front of all the priests and people at the Temple.
6He said, 'Amen! May your prophecies come true! I hope the Lord does everything you say. I hope he does bring back from Babylon the treasures of this Temple and all the captives.
7But listen now to the solemn words I speak to you in the presence of all these people.
8The ancient prophets who preceded you and me spoke against many nations, always warning of war, disaster, and disease.
