Chapter 27

15for I have not sent them,' declares the Lord, 'but they are prophesying falsely in My name, so that I will drive you away and that you will perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you.'
16Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying: 'This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, 'Behold, the vessels of the Lord’S house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon'; for they are prophesying a lie to you.

15For I have not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
16Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the Lord'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

15‘I have not sent them’—this is the Lord’s declaration—‘and they are prophesying falsely in my name; therefore, I will banish you, and you will perish—you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.’"
16Then I spoke to the priests and all these people, saying, "This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not listen to the words of your prophets. They are prophesying to you, claiming, "Look, very soon now the articles of the Lord’s temple will be brought back from Babylon." They are prophesying a lie to you.

15This is what the Lord says: ‘I have not sent these prophets! They are telling you lies in my name, so I will drive you from this land. You will all die — you and all these prophets, too.’'
16Then I spoke to the priests and the people and said, 'This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not listen to your prophets who claim that soon the gold articles taken from my Temple will be returned from Babylon. It is all a lie!
