Jeremiah 27:13-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 27
13
Why should you die, you and your people, by the sword, famine, and plague, as the
Lord
has spoken to the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14
So do not listen to the words of the prophets who talk to you, saying, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you;
King James Version
Chapter 27
13
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the
Lord
hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14
Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 27
13
Why should you and your people die by the sword, famine, and plague as the

14
Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are telling you, ‘Don’t serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you.
New Living Translation
Chapter 27
13
Why do you insist on dying — you and your people? Why should you choose war, famine, and disease, which the
Lord
will bring against every nation that refuses to submit to Babylon’s king?
14
Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you, ‘The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars.
English Standard Version

Why will you and your people die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as the
Lord
has spoken concerning any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14
Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you.

Lord
has threatened any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
