Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where the
Lord
had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the courtyard of the
Lord
’S house and said to all the people,
15
This is what the
Lord
of armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Behold, I am going to bring on this city and all its towns the entire disaster that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to listen to My words.’?'

Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the
Lord
had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the
Lord
'S house; and said to all the people,

Thus saith the
Lord
of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.

Jeremiah returned from Topheth, where the
Lord
had sent him to prophesy, stood in the courtyard of the
Lord
’s temple, and proclaimed to all the people,

"This is what the
Lord
of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘I am about to bring on this city—and on all its cities—every disaster that I spoke against it, for they have become obstinate, not obeying my words.’"

Then Jeremiah returned from Topheth, the garbage dump where he had delivered this message, and he stopped in front of the Temple of the
Lord
. He said to the people there,

This is what the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘I will bring disaster upon this city and its surrounding towns as I promised, because you have stubbornly refused to listen to me.’'
