Chapter 1
14Then the Lord said to me, 'Out of the north the evil will be unleashed on all the inhabitants of the land. 15For, behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north,' declares the Lord; 'and they will come and place, each one of them, his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls around, and against all the cities of Judah. 16And I will pronounce My judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, since they have abandoned Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.King James Version

14Yes,' the Lord said, 'for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land.
15Listen! I am calling the armies of the kingdoms of the north to come to Jerusalem. I, the Lord, have spoken! 'They will set their thrones at the gates of the city. They will attack its walls and all the other towns of Judah.
16I will pronounce judgment on my people for all their evil — for deserting me and burning incense to other gods. Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands!

14Then the Lord said to me, "Out of the north disaster shall be let loose upon all the inhabitants of the land. 15For behold, I am calling all the tribes of the kingdoms of the north, declares the Lord, and they shall come, and every one shall set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, against all its walls all around and against all the cities of Judah. 16And I will declare my judgments against them, for all their evil in forsaking me. They have made offerings to other gods and worshiped the works of their own hands.New International Version

14The Lord said to me, "From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land.
15I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms," declares the Lord. "Their kings will come and set up their thrones in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem; they will come against all her surrounding walls and against all the towns of Judah.
16I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made.
