James 2:22-24
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
22You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, 'AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED God, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS,' and he was called a friend of God. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.King James Version
Chapter 2
22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
22You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was made complete, 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.New Living Translation
Chapter 2
22You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. 23And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: 'Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.' He was even called the friend of God. 24So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.English Standard Version
