Hosea 7:7-12
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 7
7All of them are hot like an oven, And they consume their rulers; All their kings have fallen. None of them calls on Me. 8Ephraim is himself thrown about with the nations; Ephraim has become a round loaf not turned over. 9Strangers devour his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it. 10Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the Lord their God, Nor have they sought Him, despite all this. 11So Ephraim has become like a gullible dove, without sense; They call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. 12When they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will discipline them in accordance with the proclamation to their assembly.King James Version
8Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
9Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
10And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
11Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
12When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.

Chapter 7
7All of them are as hot as an oven, and they consume their rulers. All their kings fall; not one of them calls on me. 8Ephraim has allowed himself to get mixed up with the nations. Ephraim is unturned bread baked on a griddle. 9Foreigners consume his strength, but he does not notice. Even his hair is streaked with gray, but he does not notice.
10Israel's arrogance testifies against them, yet they do not return to the Lord their God, and for all this, they do not seek him.
11So Ephraim has become like a silly, senseless dove; they call to Egypt, and they go to Assyria.
12As they are going, I will spread my net over them; I will bring them down like birds of the sky. I will discipline them in accordance with the news that reaches their assembly.
New Living Translation
8'The people of Israel mingle with godless foreigners, making themselves as worthless as a half-baked cake!
9Worshiping foreign gods has sapped their strength, but they don’t even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don’t realize they’re old and weak.
10Their arrogance testifies against them, yet they don’t return to the Lord their God or even try to find him.

Chapter 7
7All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me. 8Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat loaf not turned over. 9Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice.
10Israel's arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him.
11Ephraim is like a dove, easily deceived and senseless-- now calling to Egypt, now turning to Assyria.
12When they go, I will throw my net over them; I will pull them down like the birds in the sky. When I hear them flocking together, I will catch them.
