The word of the
Lord
which came to Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz,
and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2
When the
Lord
first spoke through Hosea, the
Lord
said to Hosea, 'Go, take for yourself a wife inclined to infidelity, and children of infidelity; for the land commits flagrant infidelity, abandoning the
Lord
.'
King James Version

2
The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom,
departing

1
The
Lord

2
When the
Lord
first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, 'Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the
Lord
