Hosea 12:10-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 12
10I have also spoken to the prophets, And I provided many visions, And through the prophets I spoke in parables. 11Is there injustice in Gilead? Certainly they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, Yes, their altars are like stone heaps Beside the furrows of a field. 12Now Jacob fled to the land of Aram, And Israel worked for a wife, And for a wife he kept sheep. 13But by a prophet the Lord brought Israel up from Egypt, And by a prophet he was protected.King James Version
Chapter 12
10I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. 11Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields. 12And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep. 13And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 12
10I will speak through the prophets and grant many visions; I will give parables through the prophets. 11Since Gilead is full of evil, they will certainly come to nothing. They sacrifice bulls in Gilgal; even their altars will be like piles of rocks on the furrows of a field. 12Jacob fled to the territory of Aram. Israel worked to earn a wife; he tended flocks for a wife.New Living Translation
11But the people of Gilead are worthless because of their idol worship. And in Gilgal, too, they sacrifice bulls; their altars are lined up like the heaps of stone along the edges of a plowed field.
12Jacob fled to the land of Aram, and there he earned a wife by tending sheep.
13Then by a prophet the Lord brought Jacob’s descendants out of Egypt; and by that prophet they were protected.

Chapter 12
10I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets gave parables. 11If there is iniquity in Gilead, they shall surely come to nothing: in Gilgal they sacrifice bulls; their altars also are like stone heaps on the furrows of the field. 12Jacob fled to the land of Aram; there Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he guarded sheep. 13By a prophet the LORD brought Israel up from Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded.New International Version
Chapter 12
10I spoke to the prophets, gave them many visions and told parables through them.' 11Is Gilead wicked? Its people are worthless! Do they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal? Their altars will be like piles of stones on a plowed field. 12Jacob fled to the country of Aram; Israel served to get a wife, and to pay for her he tended sheep. 13The LORD used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt, by a prophet he cared for him.New King James Version
