In the second year of Darius the king, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the
Lord
came by the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

This is what the
Lord
of armies says: ‘This people says, 'The time has not come, the time for the house of the
Lord
to be rebuilt.'?’?'
3
Then the word of the
Lord
came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4
Is it time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses while this house
remains
desolate?'
5
Now then, the
Lord
of armies says this: 'Consider your ways!

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the
Lord
by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

Thus speaketh the
Lord
of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the
Lord
'S house should be built.

Then came the word of the
Lord
by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5
Now therefore thus saith the
Lord
of hosts; Consider your ways.

of Armies says this: These people say: The time has not come for the house of the
Lord
to be rebuilt."

The word of the
Lord
came through the prophet Haggai:

"Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?"

of Armies says this: "Think carefully about your ways:

On August 29 of the second year of King Darius’s reign, the
Lord
gave a message through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

This is what the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the
Lord
.’'

Then the
Lord
sent this message through the prophet Haggai:

Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?
5
This is what the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!

came by the hand of Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest:

Lord
of hosts: These people say the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the
Lord
."

Then the word of the
Lord
came by the hand of Haggai the prophet,

"Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?

of hosts: Consider your ways.
