Habakkuk 3:8-11
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
8Did the Lord rage against the rivers, Or was Your anger against the rivers, Or was Your rage against the sea, That You rode on Your horses, On Your chariots of salvation? 9You removed Your bow from its holder, The arrows of Your word were sworn. Selah You divided the earth with rivers. 10The mountains saw You and quaked; The downpour of waters swept by. The deep raised its voice, It lifted high its hands. 11Sun and moon stood in their lofty places; They went away at the light of Your arrows, At the radiance of Your flashing spear.King James Version
Chapter 3
8Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? 9Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. 10The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. 11The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.Christian Standard Bible
9You took the sheath from your bow; the arrows are ready to be used with an oath. Selah You split the earth with rivers.
10The mountains see you and shudder; a downpour of water sweeps by. The deep roars with its voice and lifts its waves high.
11Sun and moon stand still in their lofty residence, at the flash of your flying arrows, at the brightness of your shining spear.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
8Was it in anger, Lord, that you struck the rivers and parted the sea? Were you displeased with them? No, you were sending your chariots of salvation! 9You brandished your bow and your quiver of arrows. You split open the earth with flowing rivers. 10The mountains watched and trembled. Onward swept the raging waters. The mighty deep cried out, lifting its hands in submission. 11The sun and moon stood still in the sky as your brilliant arrows flew and your glittering spear flashed.English Standard Version
