Ezekiel 7:20-25
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 7
20Moreover, they transformed the splendor of His jewels into pride, and they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with it; therefore I will make it an abhorrent thing to them. 21And I will hand it over to the foreigners as plunder, and to the wicked of the earth as spoils; and they will profane it. 22I will also turn My face away from them, and they will profane My treasure; then robbers will enter and profane it.
23‘Make the chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24Therefore, I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will take possession of their houses. I will also put an end to the pride of the strong ones, and their holy places will be profaned.
25When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there will be none.
King James Version
Chapter 7
20As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them. 21And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it. 22My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
23Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
25Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

Chapter 7
20He appointed his beautiful ornaments for majesty, but they made their detestable images from them, their abhorrent things. Therefore, I have made these into something filthy to them. 21I will hand these things over to foreigners as plunder and to the wicked of the earth as spoil, and they will profane them.
22I will turn my face from them as they profane my treasured place. Violent men will enter it and profane it.
23Forge the chain, for the land is filled with crimes of bloodshed, and the city is filled with violence.
24So I will bring the most evil of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the strong, and their sacred places will be profaned.
25Anguish is coming! They will look for peace, but there will be none.
New Living Translation
Chapter 7
20They were proud of their beautiful jewelry and used it to make detestable idols and vile images. Therefore, I will make all their wealth disgusting to them. 21I will give it as plunder to foreigners, to the most wicked of nations, and they will defile it. 22I will turn my eyes from them as these robbers invade and defile my treasured land.
23'Prepare chains for my people, for the land is bloodied by terrible crimes. Jerusalem is filled with violence.
24I will bring the most ruthless of nations to occupy their homes. I will break down their proud fortresses and defile their sanctuaries.
25Terror and trembling will overcome my people. They will look for peace but not find it.

Chapter 7
20His beautiful ornament they used for pride, and they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it. Therefore I make it an unclean thing to them. 21And I will give it into the hands of foreigners for prey, and to the wicked of the earth for spoil, and they shall profane it. 22I will turn my face from them, and they shall profane my treasured place. Robbers shall enter and profane it.
23“Forge a chain! For the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence.
24I will bring the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the strong, and their holy places shall be profaned.
25When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there shall be none.
New International Version
Chapter 7
20They took pride in their beautiful jewelry and used it to make their detestable idols. They made it into vile images; therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them. 21I will give their wealth as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked of the earth, who will defile it.
22I will turn my face away from the people, and robbers will desecrate the place I treasure. They will enter it and will defile it.
23'Prepare chains! For the land is full of bloodshed, and the city is full of violence.
24I will bring the most wicked of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.
25When terror comes, they will seek peace in vain.
