Chapter 9

15For had I now put out My hand and struck you and your people with plague, you would then have been eliminated from the earth. 16But indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name throughout the earth.

15For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth. 16And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

15By now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with a plague, and you would have been obliterated from the earth. 16However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power and to make my name known on the whole earth.
