Exodus 8:8-15
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
8
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, 'Plead with the
Lord
to remove the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, so that they may sacrifice to the
Lord
.'
9
And Moses said to Pharaoh, 'The honor is yours to tell me: when shall I plead for you and your servants and your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses,
that
they be left only in the Nile?'
10
Then he said, 'Tomorrow.' So he said, '
May it be
according to your word, so that you may know that there is no one like the
Lord
our God.
11
The frogs will depart from you and your houses, and from your servants and your people; they will be left only in the Nile.'
12
Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried out to the
Lord
concerning the frogs which He had inflicted upon Pharaoh.
13
The
Lord
did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.
14
So they piled them in heaps, and the land stank.
15
But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, just as the
Lord
had said.
King James Version
Chapter 8
8
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the
Lord
, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the
Lord
.
9
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
10
And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the
Lord
our God.
11
And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
12
And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the
Lord
because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
13
And the
Lord
did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
14
And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
15
But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the
Lord
had said.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 8
8
Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Appeal to the
Lord
to remove the frogs from me and my people. Then I will let the people go and they can sacrifice to the
Lord
."
9
Moses said to Pharaoh, "You may have the honor of choosing. When should I appeal on behalf of you, your officials, and your people, that the frogs be taken away from you and your houses, and remain only in the Nile?"
10
"Tomorrow," he answered. Moses replied, "As you have said, so that you may know there is no one like the
Lord
our God,
11
the frogs will go away from you, your houses, your officials, and your people. The frogs will remain only in the Nile."
12
After Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the
Lord
for help concerning the frogs that he had brought against Pharaoh.
13
The
Lord
did as Moses had said: the frogs in the houses, courtyards, and fields died.
14
They piled them in countless heaps, and there was a terrible odor in the land.
15
But when Pharaoh saw there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the
Lord
had said.
New Living Translation
Chapter 8
8
Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and begged, 'Plead with the
Lord
to take the frogs away from me and my people. I will let your people go, so they can offer sacrifices to the
Lord
.'
9
You set the time!' Moses replied. 'Tell me when you want me to pray for you, your officials, and your people. Then you and your houses will be rid of the frogs. They will remain only in the Nile River.'
10
Do it tomorrow,' Pharaoh said. 'All right,' Moses replied, 'it will be as you have said. Then you will know that there is no one like the
Lord
our God.
11
The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials, and your people. They will remain only in the Nile River.'
12
So Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh’s palace, and Moses cried out to the
Lord
about the frogs he had inflicted on Pharaoh.
13
And the
Lord
did just what Moses had predicted. The frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields all died.
14
The Egyptians piled them into great heaps, and a terrible stench filled the land.
15
But when Pharaoh saw that relief had come, he became stubborn. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the
Lord
had predicted.

Chapter 8
8
Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, "Plead with the
Lord
to take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
."
9
Moses said to Pharaoh, "Be pleased to command me when I am to plead for you and for your servants and for your people, that the frogs be cut off from you and your houses and be left only in the Nile."
10
And he said, "Tomorrow." Moses said, "Be it as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the
Lord
our God.
11
The frogs shall go away from you and your houses and your servants and your people. They shall be left only in the Nile."
12
So Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried to the
Lord
about the frogs, as he had agreed with Pharaoh.
13
And the
Lord
did according to the word of Moses. The frogs died out in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.
14
And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
15
But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the

Chapter 8
8
Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Pray to the
Lord
to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the
Lord
."
9
Moses said to Pharaoh, "I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile."
10
"Tomorrow," Pharaoh said. Moses replied, "It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the
Lord
our God.
11
The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile."
12
After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the
Lord
about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh.
13
And the
Lord
did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields.
14
They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them.
15
But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the
Lord
had said.
