Exodus 8:28-31
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
28
Pharaoh said, 'I will let you go, so that you may sacrifice to the
Lord
your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. Plead for me.'
29
Then Moses said, 'Behold, I am going to leave you, and I will plead with the
Lord
that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people tomorrow; only do not let Pharaoh deal deceitfully again in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
.'
30
So Moses left Pharaoh and pleaded with the
Lord
.
31
The
Lord
did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one remained.
King James Version
Chapter 8
28
And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the
Lord
your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.
29
And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the
Lord
that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
.
30
And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the
Lord
.
31
And the
Lord
did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 8
28
Pharaoh responded, "I will let you go and sacrifice to the
Lord
your God in the wilderness, but don’t go very far. Make an appeal for me."
29
"As soon as I leave you," Moses said, "I will appeal to the
Lord
, and tomorrow the swarms of flies will depart from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. But Pharaoh must not act deceptively again by refusing to let the people go and sacrifice to the
Lord
."
30
Then Moses left Pharaoh’s presence and appealed to the
Lord
.
31
The
Lord
did as Moses had said: He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people; not one was left.
New Living Translation
Chapter 8
28
All right, go ahead,' Pharaoh replied. 'I will let you go into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the
Lord
your God. But don’t go too far away. Now hurry and pray for me.'
29
Moses answered, 'As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the
Lord
, and tomorrow the swarms of flies will disappear from you and your officials and all your people. But I am warning you, Pharaoh, don’t lie to us again and refuse to let the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
.'
30
So Moses left Pharaoh’s palace and pleaded with the
Lord
to remove all the flies.
31
And the
Lord
did as Moses asked and caused the swarms of flies to disappear from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not a single fly remained.
English Standard Version
Chapter 8
28
So Pharaoh said, "I will let you go to sacrifice to the
Lord
your God in the wilderness; only you must not go very far away. Plead for me."
29
Then Moses said, "Behold, I am going out from you and I will plead with the
Lord
that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow. Only let not Pharaoh cheat again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
."
30
So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the
Lord
.
31
And the
Lord
did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one remained.

your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me."
29
Moses answered, "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the

, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only let Pharaoh be sure that he does not act deceitfully again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the
Lord
."
30
Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the
Lord
,
31
and the
Lord

29
Then Moses said, “Indeed I am going out from you, and I will entreat the
Lord
, that the swarms
of flies
may depart tomorrow from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. But let Pharaoh not deal deceitfully anymore in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the
Lord
.”
30
So Moses went out from Pharaoh and entreated the
Lord
.
31
And the
Lord
did according to the word of Moses; He removed the swarms
