Then Pharaoh also called for
the
wise men and
the
sorcerers, and they too,
the
soothsayer priests of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts.

For each one threw down his staff, and they turned into serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed their staffs.

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

Then Pharaoh called in his own wise men and sorcerers, and these Egyptian magicians did the same thing with their magic.

They threw down their staffs, which also became serpents! But then Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.
