Chapter 33
17The Lord said to Moses, 'I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.' 18Then Moses said, 'Please, show me Your glory!' 19And He said, 'I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion to whom I will show compassion.' 20He further said, 'You cannot see My face, for mankind shall not see Me and live!' 21Then the Lord said, 'Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; 22and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.King James Version

17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:Christian Standard Bible
19He said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name 'the Lord' before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
20But he added, "You cannot see my face, for humans cannot see me and live."
21The Lord said, "Here is a place near me. You are to stand on the rock,
22and when my glory passes by, I will put you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

19The Lord replied, 'I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.
20But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.'
21The Lord continued, 'Look, stand near me on this rock.
22As my glorious presence passes by, I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.
