14
Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does
any
work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15
For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the
Lord
; whoever does
any
work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
16
So the sons of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.’
17
It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the
Lord
made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased
from labor,
and was refreshed.'
18
When He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the

: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the
Lord
. Anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.

The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time.

It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the
Lord
made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’'
