Exodus 26:12-17
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 26
12
The overhanging part that is left over in the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that is left over, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13
The cubit on one side and the cubit on the other, of what is left over in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on one side and on the other, to cover it.
14
And you shall make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red and a covering of fine leather above.
15
Then you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.
16
Ten cubits
shall be
the length of each board and one and a half cubits the width of each board.
17
There shall be
two tenons for each board, fitted to one another; that is what you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle.
King James Version
Chapter 26
12
And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.
13
And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14
And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins.
15
And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up.
16
Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.
17
Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 26
12
As for the flap that remains from the tent curtains, the leftover half curtain is to hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13
What remains along the length of the tent curtains—a half yard on one side and a half yard on the other side—should hang over the sides of the tabernacle on either side to cover it.
14
Make a covering for the tent from ram skins dyed red and a covering of fine leather on top of that.
15
"You are to make upright supports of acacia wood for the tabernacle.
16
Each support is to be fifteen feet long and twenty-seven inches wide.
17
Each support will have two tenons for joining. Do the same for all the supports of the tabernacle.
New Living Translation
Chapter 26
12
The remaining 3 feet of this tent covering will be left to hang over the back of the Tabernacle.
13
Allow 18 inches of remaining material to hang down over each side, so the Tabernacle is completely covered.
14
Complete the tent covering with a protective layer of tanned ram skins and a layer of fine goatskin leather.
15
For the framework of the Tabernacle, construct frames of acacia wood.
16
Each frame must be 15 feet high and 27 inches wide,
17
with two pegs under each frame. Make all the frames identical.
English Standard Version
Chapter 26
12
And the part that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13
And the extra that remains in the length of the curtains, the cubit on the one side, and the cubit on the other side, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and that side, to cover it.
14
And you shall make for the tent a covering of tanned rams ' skins and a covering of goatskins on top.
15
"You shall make upright frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood.
16
Ten cubits shall be the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame.
17
There shall be two tenons in each frame, for fitting together. So shall you do for all the frames of the tabernacle.
New International Version
Chapter 26
12
As for the additional length of the tent curtains, the half curtain that is left over is to hang down at the rear of the tabernacle.
13
The tent curtains will be a cubit longer on both sides; what is left will hang over the sides of the tabernacle so as to cover it.
14
Make for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of the other durable leather.
15
"Make upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.
16
Each frame is to be ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide,
17
with two projections set parallel to each other. Make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
New King James Version
Chapter 26
12
The remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13
And a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other side, of what remains of the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14
“You shall also make a covering of ram skins dyed red for the tent, and a covering of badger skins above that.
15
“And for the tabernacle you shall make the boards of acacia wood, standing upright.
16
Ten cubits
shall be
the length of a board, and a cubit and a half
shall be
the width of each board.
17
Two tenons
shall be
in each board for binding one to another. Thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
